#8 Marriott in Greensboro
Last on our list is the Marriott in Greensboro, but there are quite a few Marriott-branded hotels throughout High Point, Greensboro, and surrounding towns. All are centrally located, but the least expensive tends to be the Greensboro – High Point Marriott. Most hotels by Marriott offer several meeting venues, lounges, and other shared spaces. The Marriott Greensboro Downtown also boasts a golf course.
“High Point doesn’t offer much in terms of accommodations, so many designers stay in nearby Greensboro or even as far as Winston-Salem or Charlotte. Greensboro is an easy, 20-minute commute, so it’s my choice, although their offerings are not as numerous. One plus, however, is that most of their hotels graciously welcome designers with special breakfasts, cocktail menus, and a big bonus: shuttle service to and from the market. While a Marriott stay isn’t as glamorous, it’s often the most convenient!”
