Houston, TX — July 2025 — The DesignDash team is proud to announce the release of its third issue, the Spring–Summer 2025 edition of The DesignDash Magazine, which celebrates bold thinking, layered interiors, and the creative rituals that keep designers grounded. As temperatures rise, this issue gives readers a cool, compelling look into the ideas shaping spaces, culture, and the business of design.
Spotlights on women-led innovation in residential design shine brightest in the latest issue of The DesignDash Magazine. This season’s features include a peek inside a bold kitchen transformation by Rhonnika Clifton of RJ Clifton Design + Build as well as a serene organic-modern renovation by April Littmann of Neighbor Interiors. From natural palettes to bespoke craftsmanship, both homes are rich in intention, function, and personal storytelling.

Also featured is Megan Strasburg, Director of Residential Building Design at Laura U Design Collective, whose interview “Designing Without Despair” offers practical and emotional insight into guiding clients through the ups and downs of high-stakes renovations. Her tips on navigating “the valley of despair” during construction are both refreshingly candid and universally relevant.
DesignDash continues to broaden the lens of design journalism with global perspectives, as in an interview with Carlo Ratti, architect and curator behind the Olympic torch for Milano Cortina 2026. In his minimalist, reverent approach, Ratti centers not the object, but the flame: a metaphor for design that quietly supports rather than overshadows its purpose.

Elsewhere in the issue, readers will find:
- Soft Geometry — a trend report on the return of curves, from Milan Design Week to High Point Market
- Adding Florals to Make Every Install Feel Editorial — a design styling guide to elevate photography without a professional stylist
- Creative Rituals from Women, In Their Own Words — including reflections from designers like Jamie Young, Camilla van den Tempel, and Sarah Choudhary
- What Tariffs & Pricing Volatility Mean for Small Studios — a business feature unpacking economic trends shaping procurement and planning in residential design

Co-founder Melissa Grove reflects in her letter to readers:
“I’m most proud of the community that Laura and I have built, after officially launching back in January. The DesignDash Community is full of talented, incredible designers, and we’re featuring two of them in this issue: Rhonnika Clifton and April Littmann. We love design and the amazing minds that make it happen, so I am absolutely thrilled to begin honoring the hard work of these brilliant women.”
The Spring–Summer 2025 issue will go live July 3rd; it will be available to DesignDash newsletter subscribers through www.designdash.com and Issuu. Designers who wish to be featured in upcoming issues are invited to submit their work via the submission form at the back of the magazine or by emailing editor@designdash.com.
